9 favorites from the Studio Mcgee Target Spring 2022 collection:
The turn of a season is always an exhilarating experience - and spring is no different. After a cold-long winter, the thought of fresh blooms and longer sunlight brings us comfort. This often puts us in the mood to get outside and get inspired by nature. I like to take time and go for a walk to observe nature and its awakening from winter.
When it comes to our homes, it seems spring is an ideal time for cleaning, organizing, and redecorating! One thing that seems to have gained steam are the collection drops from Studio Mcgee x Target. And it makes sense - contemporary decor at an affordable price range. So today I am sharing my top picks from the Studio Mcgee Target Spring 2022 collection.
Before I share my picks, here are some styling tips to think about for the spring season:
- What stays? What goes? - I often find myself scanning for things I know will no longer use. The act of 'decluttering' puts me in a good mood because it frees up valuable space. One thing to not is WHY things are being purged. Is it the quality? Did it not me my expectations? Or am I just looking to change things up? How can I avoid this in the future?
- Determine the new color palette - spring is a great time to set a new color palette. That doesn't mean throwing out the existing design, but rather finding a way to evolve the existing. Perhaps its as simple as introducing a new color - like adding BM Fort Pierce Green to a beige palette or a pop of Mustard to a black and white room
- Bring nature inside - I find this to be important year-round. Spring brings us new blooms, new colors, and new experiences. This spring I'll pay close attention to the buds on trees. Borrow a branch from your yard as it starts to bloom, take some aesthetic photos and frame them, head to the farmers market
- Introduce an new wooden element - I am a big advocate of mixing woods. This creates an eclectic feel while expanding our biophilic connection to nature. Consider something with interesting texture or a funky wood grain. Maybe add contrast - blending wood and dark wood tones
- Dome Chandelier White - $220, minimal, modern, and beautiful (this could even be spray painted!)
- Cast Oval Decorative Wall Mirror Gold - $70, the perfect addition to an entry console or dresser
- 72" Promontory Cabinet - $600, a display cabinet with sliding doors to keep things feeling minimal
- Ogden Burled Wood Console - $180 because burled wood has made a comeback and the modern form of this console is
- Large Geo Handled Planter - $35, technically a planter but this could pass as a high-end large vase
- Wellsville Handloom Flatweave Striped Rug - $199, a minimalist rug with a touch of contrast
- Riverview Wood Spindle Back Accent Chair - $250, a classy chair for spilling the tea
- Vivian Park Upholstered Swivel Chair, RH vibes for less!
- Rattan Wrap Arc Floor Lamp - $120, a jaw-dropping floor lamp at a comfortable price
What's your favorite item from the Studio Mcgee Target Spring 2022 collection. I am obsessing over those lamps!!
