The other night I was on Facebook Marketplace, per usual, browsing for things I don't need. Soon enough, a set of 12 mid-century modern chairs popped up.
"Is it still available?"
"Yes, it is."
"Cool, I can pick-up in the morning!"
The following morning I drove an hour to pick them up and was pleasantly surprised. The seller had just sourced them for his vintage store! They were brought from an old abandoned auditorium from a neighboring town. Seriously, I am in love! True vintage, cane, mid-century cane chairs in wonderful condition!
WHAT AM I GOING TO DO WITH THEM?
To be honest I have not stated thinking much about the dining room transformation, but I do know I only need 6 chairs. Will I sell off the 6 of the MCM chairs? I'm not sure. For now I have stored them away until I get to restoring them.
The wood is giving it all to me (Walnut I think?). My first thought is to restore the wood. The tone of the wood is nice, so I may just use Restor-A-Finish to keep the integrity of the original tone. Perhaps a gel stain and finish instead? We shall see.
Should I keep the original upholstery and get it professional cleaned? I am also thinking about adding faux-black leather. These are just initial thoughts, but will ultimately depend on the new dining table choosen.
Overall there are 2 armed and 10 armless. If the space allowed, I would totally set them out and have a grand table. For now, I'm going to soak in all the cane. Seriously, I am in love. I am considering leaving the cane distressed as-is and restore the rest of the frame.

I think u should got with a beige creamy color for the reupholstered chairs. Black may be too harsh and take away from the wood color.
