Vignette 01 flows around a Malm fireplace. These mid-century fireplaces certainly make a statement. I have seen some people just place them (for decor only) to add architectural interest. In this edit I'm pairing a simple schoolhouse chair with sherpa upholstery. This adds some warmth! Adding vintage vases, natural florals, and textiles can create an earthy feeling. A marble sconce like this brings in another natural element. The one selected is hardwired but I've seen some good plug-in options on Etsy!

This pairing revolves around a modern hearth. Let's envision a clean-line fireplace made of stone. Layering textured materials like a jute rug and wall art can playing along with the natural stone facade of the fireplace. This mid-century accent chair pairs well with this sculptural side table (which are having a moment)! I can certainly see myself creating a hearth like this (even if it's faux) with drywall and an earthy venetian plaster. The simple mantle is perfect for resting wall art and collected decor.
Which vignette is your favorite look? My pick is vignette 2! Maybe it's the simple mantle, maybe it's the rug, but overall I really like the use of texture. It pushes depth on all surfaces. Comment your favorite below!
