It seems thrifting has become huge across the web. Home decor is no exception to that trend. For the last couple years I've thrifted for home decor items that are both timeless and minimal. Today I would like to share a couple items to keep an eye for during your thrift runs.
Minimalism is something you might strive for. But did you know thrifted decor can help you achieve that (while saving money)?! On my YouTube channel I frequently take you along to thrift stores and share items that might help a minimalist home.

Second-hand Online Shops for Minimal Decor:
The great thing about thrift shopping is the fact that you save money (compared to buying the items new). It also gives us the opportunity to curate a distinctive home. Items vary by location and time so, we are able to find unique pieces.
Although going thrift shopping is always fun, sometimes we don't have the time for it. A couple second-hand website (USA) to check out online are:
- Facebook Marketplace (you must be logged into Facebook)
- Amazon actually can have used items. Search for things like "vintage" or "used"
- Chairish is a well organized site for vintage and antique decor pieces. They have it ALL!
- AptDeco has gained some traction in New York and some West coast locations.
1. Unique Candlestick Holders
Probably my favorite, candlestick holders can be both minimal and timeless. There is something romantic about a slim candlestick. Some might argue these are one of the "oldest home items" in modern history. Think about it, candlesticks have illuminated homes for centuries before electricity. A good candlestick holder will bring your space timelessness and elegance.
2. Vintage Art
You can never go wrong with vintage (or vintage looking) art. This is a great way build onto a gallery wall. Pieces like this are a great for the frames. Replace existing art or paint over if you dare, to get a new look. Look for frames that are unique in form or color.
3. Mid Century Modern Furniture
4. Modern Glassware
5. Brass Accents
