Transform your garden into a mesmerizing paradise with these easy and affordable DIY garden orbs and spheres using concrete. This post will show you how to make some using rope.
Garden orbs and spheres are a great way to add a touch of elegance to your outdoor space. These beautiful decorations can be made easily with a few simple materials and tools, and can be customized to fit your style and preferences. In this blog post, we’ll take a look at how to create your own DIY garden orbs and spheres that will make your garden shine.
First of all, I made a few different types of cement orbs for my yard. In this post I'm sharing how I made this one with rope. It has gone viral across my social media and have to say it actually simple to do! As a reminder, please work outside and wear safety glasses and gloves as you don't want uncured cement in contact with skin.

PROJECT SUPPLIES USED:
- rope ( used about 7 packs from Dollar Tree)
- cement (or this one)
- water
- beach ball or any inflatable ball
- gloves
- spray paint (optional)
- sealer, recommend (I like this one)
ARE THEY STILL HOLDING UP?
The short answer is yes!
While I didn't demonstrate the sealer application in the video, it's important to note that it can increase the orb's lifespan. Also, to ensure the orb's stability, I used a robust spike to tether it and prevent it from being blown away by winds.
In addition, I'm extremely happy with the result and how it has attracted attention to my landscaping. The orbs have also withstood the extreme weather conditions of my area, including hot summers and cold winters, without any damage. Nonetheless, I must emphasize that they are not intended for sitting or supporting items on top.
