Whether you're looking to unwind or rest from a busy day, your bedroom should serve as a dreamy retreat. I often overlook the bedroom and put it last on my list. Today we are giving you all the tools you need to upgrade your bedroom without tearing up walls. You will be obsessing over these simple and easy decor ideas.
EASY DECOR IDEAS TO UPGRADE YOUR BEDROOM:
1. Try a Non-traditional Nightstand
Don't let your small nightstand get in the way. Bedroom sets often contain bedside tables that are too small. Step outside the 'bed set' and introduce a new table. I decided to add a chest of drawers in a different style and color. This can make your room feel bigger. A small step like this may also introduce a new style to the bedroom without having to change all the furniture.
2. Switch to White Bedding
White bedding can improve your mood and perception of the room. White bedding can seem intimidating, but you will love it once you switch. Use a white duvet set, white sheets, and add a pop of color with throw pillows and blankets. I maintain my bedding clean white with regular washing, having at least two sheet sets, and great laundry detergent.
3. Use Minimal Wall Art
Wall art is a great way to add drama or establish a mood for the room. Your bedroom should reflect you (and your partner). Look for the perfect piece that speaks to you. It doesn't have to busy. Consider contour drawings, minimalistic art, or rich textured art pieces. You can create a simple vignette above your dresser using your art and other decorative accents.

4. Hang Some Mirrors
If you're looking for a simple way to make your room feel bigger and more open, then mirrors are a great option. They can help you distribute light throughout the room without tearing down walls. Consider to adding a modern style mirror to give your bedroom a more sophisticated look. You can group mirrors if you have multiple small ones.

5. Incorporate Greenery
Pulling in plants into your bedroom can have many benefits. They help purify the air, bring calmness, and provide good energy. They also are natural beauties to look at. If you don't have a green thumb, try using succulents, Aloe vera, or Peace Lily. Plant them in a nice bowl planter.
6. Limit the Amount of Decor Items
It can be fun to decorate a bedroom, but it can be easy to go overboard. Try to limit the number of items you style with. Think about placing things in groups of 1s,3s, and 5s. Accent your space with the things you love, your favorite scent, or a collection of plants. Invest in a couple pieces that are timeless.

7. Layer Throw Pillows and Blankets
Throw blankets and pillows are a great way to bring warmth to your bedroom. This is an opportunity to play with color and texture. Add multiple layers (that is still mangible for making your bed everyday) and have fun with pattern. You can rotate throws every season to accommodate your mood. Neutral throws, like gray, are perfect for a year-long style.

7. Remove Your Closet Door
If you haven't done so already, try rearranging your furniture to maximize space. This might involve getting creative with some of your limitations (like air vents, doors, windows). I found my closet door to be in the way with the new bed orientation, so I removed it and put a curtain. I plan to install a pocket door, but this will do for now.
