Are your wooden cutting boards looking a little rough? No worries! This post is all about cutting board maintenance (and bowls) and how to make them look new again.
The other day I took a look at my cutting boards and they were looking a little rough. So, I decided to restore and make them look new again! You can do this technique for any wooden items in the kitchen (and is food safe too)!
Cutting board maintenance does not need to be complicated. All you need to do is recondition the wood (and maybe do some sanding) with food-safe oil. Although there are so many options, here is what works for me currently:

SUPPLIES NEEDED:
- existing wooden board, bowl, our butcher block
- Butcher Block Oil (clear finish)
- Butcher Block Oil (Hazelnut finish)
- Butcher Block Oil (Ebony finish)
- Stain applicator pad or lint-free rag
- sanding paper (if needed)
- my cheap (but good) orbital sander
I am obsessed with how these came out! I love how the oil brings the natural tone of the wood come to life. The grain really comes through!. Check out the wooden boards and bowls below for elevating everyday cooking and entertaining.
